Smiles for Teens
SMILES FOR TEENS
It is important for teens to learn good oral habits and seek dental care, as several forms of periodontal disease can begin in adolescence. Thanks to funding from the NYS Office of Children and Family Services and the Sullivan County Youth Bureau, PRASAD CDHP started outreach to this age group in 2007.
PRASAD CDHP brings the Smiles for Teens program to the schools. Recognizing the need to encourage personal responsibility for one’s own dental health, we teach the importance of brushing, flossing, and the relationship between diet and oral health.
